Nandadevi

In uttarakhand the name of Goddess Durga is known as Nanda Devi . in Kumoun the common name for girls is nandi also in folk song of Kumoun the word nandi is popularly use. As “nandi ko nauker nandan singa  maj nandana bhana” . In Devi mahatamya the daughter of yashoda and nand, yogmaya is known as nanda. But in uttarakhand she is Parvati daughter of Himalaya. Which is synonym of Nandadevi  mountain. In uttarakhand Nanda is worshiped in two ways customary and classical forms.
In classical form of pooja She is Parvati who wish to marry with samadhisth Shiva. In customary form of pooja she is Nanda Sunanda. King of kumoun Baj bahadur chand reestablished the Nanda worship by making idols of Nanda Sunanda from banana stems. In Garhwal region of uttarakhand Nanda worshiped as Raj Rajeshwari Shree vidhya and in Almora she is worshiped as Neel Saraswati Tara. Difference in pooja is nothing but the different traditions of Kumoun  & Garhwal regions of uttarakhand

TAL IN BHAGTOLA

Technology Aided learning Implementation a case study

A small endeavor in this respect has been attempted through the project TAL IN BHAGTOLA, Digestive system of man, environmental pollution, lesson plans, being implemented in school. As the project proceeded &technology was introduced, the students became very excited they were thrilled to see their own lessons on computer. The students were made aware of modern technologies. Students learnt how modern technologies like computer, digital camera & printer, scanner used to generate knowledge and learning activities students from different classes has been initiated to prepare power point presentations on lessons of their text books. The project helped students to explore sources of information other than their text books. To conduct Encarta /internet research, to deign graphics, to create presentations, to conduct learning, to use a computer network that searches libraries, research on a topic, encourage to innovate. The project has excited the students in technological innovations in teaching and learning. The students learn by doing the knowledge gained through doing is more valuable with long term impact. Through this practical experience of creating projects of their class room exercise students became very inquisitive showing their attitude changing towards learning.
Technology demonstration,

In the beginning when I am showing a multimedia presentation, in the classroom one of my students ask me sir what is multimedia? Can I also create a multimedia presentation .I answered him yes multimedia is a combined use of graphics, text and sound in a presentation. Use of multimedia in learning will enhance your knowledge and creativity.
The question that prompted out a significant shift, that use of technology helps students to produces knowledge rather than be passive consumers of knowledge produced by others. The project has excited the student in technological innovations in teaching and learning. The student learns by doing. The knowledge gained through doing is more valuable with long term impact. Through this practical experience of creating projects of their class room exercise students became very inquisitive &excited showing their attitude changing towards learning.

Confucius a philosopher says-   Tell me & I will forget.
Show me & I will remember.
Involve me & I will understand.

This expression today stands true for technology aided learning.
A power point presentation of lesson plans has done more to promote the computer awareness &usage than most other conventional promotion strategies. Use of TAL IN BHAGTOLA can not only increase the student’s fluency with technology but also give them new roles to in information process, hence providing leadership for others.
